The Brookview House is a Transitional Housing Shelter in Dorchester, MA.

Kiddo Byte partnered with the Brookview House in February of 2020 to teach weekly virtual Scratch classes to a group of boys at Brookview.

In May 2021, we transitioned to weekly in-person classes at Brookview, teaching both Scratch and Python to over 17 kids of all ages.

In addition to our Scratch and Python courses, MIT Lincoln Laboratory employees have helped teach our Girls Who Code course at Brookview, as well as specialty workshops such as Cryptography.

With the support of our sponsors, we were able to donate new chromebooks to our students at Brookview.

For our work at Brookview, we were featured on the ABC affiliate Channel 5, WCVB’s 5 for Good and an upcoming article in the Boston Globe (written by Annie Probert).
